Are We in a Position to Know What Happened in Douma, Syria, on April 7, 2018?
Was there a chemical attack on April 7, 2018, in Douma, Syria, and, if so, who was responsible for it? Rather predictably, the BBC launched a smear piece against anyone who dared to question the official NATO-narrative that of course there was a chemical attack and that of course only evil Assad and evil Putin can be responsible for this:
This smear piece, by the way, follows yet another smear piece that was launched by the Guardian against an article by Robert Fisk in which the author also dared to question the official NATO-narrative:
As it turns out though, there are also quite a few other Western establishment figures who we can hardly assume to be Russian or Syrian agents who also have their serious and well-justified doubts about what happened on April 7.
Westerners Questioning the NATO-Narrative on Syria
There is for instance Fox anchorman Tucker Carlson’s legendary analysis from April 10, 2018:
Then we had former British ambassor to Syria, Peter Ford, saying pretty much the same thing:
The same goes for the (former) Labour Politician Chris Williamson who would later be hounded out by the rightwing Israel lobby via fake claims of anti-semitism:
There was also Lord West on BBC disagreeing with the NATO narrative:
Conservative public intellectual Peter (brother of late Christopher) Hitchens who refuses to be aired on Russia Today likewise also points out that we do not know what has happened:
Note how the moderator/Western propagandist Andrew Neil keeps interrupting Peter Hitchens non-stop, how he misinterprets him and then absurdly accuses Mr. Hitchens of having used “improper English.”
Then there are the two (former) US politicians Thomas Massie and Tim Canova who likewise doubt the official Western propaganda about/against Assad:
Just like Robert Fisk, Pearson Sharp from One America News (a Republican/Trump-leaning outlet) also went to Syria, talked to people on the streets, and came up empty-handed
…including after a second round of questioning:
In an interview conducted with a Syrian boy who was hosed down with water after the alleged chemical attack from April 7 the boy also affirmed that no such attack took place:
Professor Tim Anderson, now fired for not being an Orwellian goodthinker, confirms:
As done by one Vassiliki Tsaxarli, concerns were raised that Assad may have pressured the civilian population or health workers of Douma to tell his story which is certainly a possibility.
Overall though, the lack of evidence for an Assad perpetratorship and the evidence for White Helmet fakery and ISIS/Al Quaeda/Islamist extremist affiliations such as the above outweigh that possibility in my opinion.
It is entirely possible and indeed likely that what appears to be one and the same girl — note the identical clothes and that she looks calm and entirely unhurt — was used in three different White Helmet propaganda movies and that White Helmets are fraternizing with or even part of Islamist extremist groups in Syria. On the other hand, maybe there was a human chain and she was passed from one helper to the next. Once again and even though I suspect that the above is yet another WH propaganda video and that WH are overly close to or part of Islamist extremists, we do not know for certain.
What We Do Know Though
What we do know though are the intentions of the Western-aligned players, including the Saudis: They want Assad gone. And from that we can draw rather certain conclusions such as the one that the Saudis splashed around some money in the West in order for good old-fashioned pay-to-play politics and also in order to whitewash and distract from their undeniable war crimes in Yemen:
