Down with Keir Starmer & Consorts, Part 6: The Leaked 860-Page Report and the Named Perpetrators McNicol and Matthews
(Part 1. Part 2. Part 3. Part 4. Part 5. Part 7. Part 8. Part 9. The missing links will be added gradually)
The perpetrators Iain McNicol and Sam Matthews
Two key perpetrators and saboteurs who actively prevented a Labour national election victory in 2017 and who contributed to the fake ‘Labour anti-Semitism crisis’ smear campaign against Corbyn and progressive Labour members are Iain McNicol, a leading GMB union member and the Labour General Secretary from July 2011 to March 2018, and Sam Matthews, the head of Labour’s Governance and Legal Unit (GLU) from 2016 to 2018.
In this part 6 and after having reported on their propaganda efforts in part 5, I will now take a closer look at those two perpetrators themselves and especially at McNicol.
Iain McNicol’s background
The GMB-Union connection
McNicol started his political career as a political officer in the GMB Union:
[…]
Following the 1997 United Kingdom general election at which Labour returned to office, McNicol served as a research, organisation, and political officer with the GMB Union, and in 1998 was appointed a regional organiser for its Southern Region.[8] In 2004, he was promoted to National Political Officer. He served in that capacity through to 2011, coordinating the political strategy of the union and representing its members’ interests in both the public and private sector.[8][9]
This is relevant since, in yet another attempt of trying to blame the messengers, members of that McNicol-associated GMB Union absurdly demanded that General Secretary Jennie Formby apologize to the perpetrators named in the report:
As furthermore pointed out by Mr. Bastani from Novara Media, this connection is also relevant since the GMB Union sided with the fake ‘whistleblowers’ Iain McNicol, Sam Matthews or Louise Withers-Green that starred in the BBC Panorama anti-Corbyn hatchet job “Is Labour anti-Semitic” that I already discussed in part 5.
Traitor McNicol nominated for life peerage by Corbyn
As far as the more recent aspects of McNicol’s political career are concerned:
On 19 July 2011, Labour’s National Executive Committee selected McNicol to become the party’s next General Secretary under leader Ed Miliband.[2]
McNicol’s intention to stand down as General Secretary of the Labour Party was announced on 23 February 2018.[1] On 20 March 2018 he was succeeded by Jennie Formby.[10]
On 21 June 2018, McNicol was created a life peer as Baron McNicol of West Kilbride, of West Kilbride in the County of Ayrshire.[11][12]
Here we once again see the same pattern that we already saw with Keir Starmer (part 1), former Labour deputy Tom Watson (part 3), or former Labour Cabinet minister Peter Mandelson (part 5): Betray the interests of the 99% while pretending that you represent them and get rewarded with a life peerage. Welcome to the Jimmy Savile club (an infamous sex offender who also received a life peerage)!
An irony in the traitor McNicol’s life peerage is that it was suggested by his victim Jeremy Corbyn in order to get rid of him (other methods would come to mind). From this article and confirmed by this wikipedia entry:
A former Labour general secretary seen as a hate figure by many on the left wing of the party has been given a peerage by Jeremy Corbyn.
[…]
They’ve made him a lord to get him out of party HQ.
McNicol the anti-democratic Corbyn saboteur
That McNicol was indeed an opponent of Corbyn and progressives can be understood from further parts of his current wikipedia entry:
2016 Labour Party leadership election
In June and July 2016, the Financial Times reported the office of the Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn believed McNicol tried to prevent Corbyn from attending a key National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, and was alleged to be complicit in trying to exclude Corbyn from entering the second leadership election. It reported senior figures in the trade union movement were discussing replacement options for McNicol in his General Secretary role.[13][14]
[…]
An additional court case was brought against McNicol in August 2016 regarding the NEC’s decision to disallow party members who had joined after 12 January 2016 from voting in the leadership election.
That court case was decided in favour of the claimants on 8 August 2016 but repealed on August 12, thereby reducing the number of those who would vote for Corbyn. As yet another anti-democratic hurdle, McNicol and team imposed a £25 fee on voting in the Labour Party 2016 leadership election that was held from August 22 to August 24 between Jeremy Corbyn (61.8%) and the traitors’ candidate of choice Owen Smith (38.2%):
To make things even more interesting, that Tory-plant McNicol took Labour members voting money and expelled them afterwards for spurious reasons and without returning the funds. Overall, this makes him look less and less like a high party official and more and more like a criminal mastermind (see below for further details):
McNicol’s intentional mishandling of anti-Semitism complaints
Then there is also the issue of McNicol’s intentional sabotage of the handling of alleged anti-Semitism cases in order to contribute to the fake Labour anti-Semitism crisis and other acts of sabotage becomes apparent from no more than his wikipedia entry:
In May 2019 Jon Lansman the founder of Momentum writing in the LabourList blog accused McNicol and his team of delaying action on handling antisemitism cases while he was General Secretary, and allowing a backlog of cases to build up that would damage the party and Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership.
…which were mostly inflated bullshit anyway
Almost more importantly though, the overwhelming number of AS-complaints were nonsense in the first place and indeed comparable to hackers’ “distributed denial of service” or DDoS attacks:
To put the bullshit in numbers: Margaret Hodge, the insane parliamentary chair of the Israel Lobby front JLM who I already reported on earlier, officially accounts for (depending on the sources) 20%–50% of all submitted AS-complaints that allegedly relate to Labour.
Judging by the following numbers of 200 and 20, however, only 10% of the total of complaints “have any links [to] members/supporters of the Labour Party”:
And to make matters even more ridiculous, only 1 out of those 200 cases of alleged AS actually led to charges by the police. Of course, facts like these do not stop the indeed “unhinged” AS-smearers from smearing those who point them out as racists:
As usual, the MSM and also that liberal ragpiece The Guardian were and are in on this:
On the anti-Semites Margaret Hodge and Tom Watson
Conscientious Labour members and Jews were not having this nonsense and weaponisation of AS and instead turned the tables on the AS-smearers such as Hodge and Watson who, by the same standards, should also have been suspended or even expelled from Labour:
Even though not suspended or expelled which would have been the right thing to do, these bullies, liars and traitors at least quieted down a little bit when challenged on their bullshit propaganda:
McNicol & team manipulating and destroying documents
Once the utterly depraved McNicol and other saboteurs knew they were on their way out in 2018, they began to systematically manipulate and destroy documents Labour headquarters, presumably both in order to cover their tracks but more so in order to intentionally damage Corbyn and progressives by creating the false impression that there was something to the entirely manufactured Labour AS-crisis.
The deviousness of what they did is once again hard to believe:
Contrary to McNicol’s lackeys in the GMB Union, other leading and more loyal Union figures who still had or have a conscience also began to point out the horrific abuse of McNicol and team:
On a somewhat humourous but mostly truthful note:
McNicol & team giving themselves golden handshakes via bullshit NDAs
The degeneracy never quite seems to end with McNicol and team though. Because what did they do after they ripped off members by making them pay a preposterous £25 voting fee before suspending a significant number of them on ridiculous charges?
Well, how about the interesting possibility of giving themselves golden handshakes for hundreds of thousands and possibly millions of British Pounds straight out of the coffers of the Labour Party and covering their tracks with NDAs (non-disclosure agreements), with the cover story being that this was rather a payoff to them so that they would remain silent about the oh so terrible AS-abuses that these poor little innocent souls had witnessed (i.e. helped cook up) in Labour?
That way they could sabotage the Labour Party further by absconding with money AND maintaining the Labour AS-crisis fiction while even giving themselves cover — cover in which the BBC Panorama hatchet job “Is Labour Antisemitic?” was involved. From this article:
The programme, along with the BBC’s trailers for it and most of the Establishment media after it, made much of the ‘courage’ of the former staff in breaking ‘non-disclosure agreements’ (NDAs) to speak to Panorama — and criticised Labour for imposing NDAs in the first place.
But the SKWAWKBOX has learned that those NDAs were overseen by none other than Iain McNicol, before his departure from his position and before current General Secretary Jennie Formby took up her duties.
And the process of signing the NDAs enriched departing staff loyal to McNicol — to the staggering tune of hundreds of thousands of pounds.
The work of one or several criminal masterminds indeed.
McNicol as described in the Budoshoshinshu (The Warrior’s Primer)
The Budoshoshinshu was authored by the samurai Daidōji Yūzan in the early 18th century in Japan and translated into English by William Scott Wilson.
In it we can find a fitting time- and culture-transcending description of the corrupt official that McNicol, who has a black belt in Karate, and others like him have become (in case they were ever non-corrupt). From the online version, ch. 18, p. 60–61:
The saying that “officials and white garments are best when new” is not particularly profound but there is something to it. […]
When an official connected with some matter is new, he is naive in all things, places great importance in the commands of his lord, and treats even trifling matters as great affairs. He is especially aware of his pledge concerning his duties, and is prudent and fearful of turning his back on any one of them. In this way, there is nothing lacking in anything he is engaged in.
But even a man like this […] after working a long time and learning all the ropes of his duties, will gradually become lackadaisical and careless […] begins to lose his sense of discrimination before he knows what is happening. While still working at his duties, greed and grasping begin to grow in his heart […]
No matter how much he receives, however, he deludes the officials through return gifts [here I prefer the German translation which speaks of “robbing the government for return gifts”] […]
Being stained in this way is the same as when white garment turns gray.
Iain McNicol is politically finished
As a result of his increasingly obvious corruption and its scale, Iain McNicol’s political career appears to be finished:
People with a conscience and who know what’s going on are again making the case for immediate suspension as with the traitors Hodge or Watson:
But the entire corrupt establishment and McNicol’s co-conspirators such as Starmer are of course opposed to that for a number of obvious reasons and are trying to cover the whole thing up behind the scenes as much as possible:
The proper course of action would of course be the immediate expulsion of McNicol, followed by suing him in court for absconding with Labour money. But as expected, the rotten establishment falls back on its strategy of “blaming the messenger” in its attempt to protect one of its own and also itself:
All of that, however, changes nothing about the fact that the evidence speaks very clearly against the suspect and beyond the shadow of any doubt perpetrator McNicol:
[…] In April 2020 a leaked internal investigation implicated McNicol in plotting against Corbyn and him and members of his office making offensive comments about and bullying Labour members, staff, and politicians.[21][22]
In April 2020, various WhatsApp message group transcripts emerged on the independent news website Novara Media showing McNicol, along with other members of the Labour party’s senior management team, actively rooting against Labour winning the 2017 general election, with Iain McNicol himself being directly implicated in attempting to replace Jeremy Corbyn as Labour leader with the then deputy leader Tom Watson, and of redirecting money from target seats to safe seats held by factional allies.[23]
Sam Matthews
I already reported on Sam Matthews, the Labour Party’s head of the Governance and Legal Unit (GLU) from 2016–18, in part 5, so I will only add some bonus material on this key saboteur here. From this article:
Sam Matthews was cited on page 53 of Labour’s internal report:
“On 9 May 2017, GLU’s Head of Disputes Sam Matthews and Teddy Ryan, Regional Organiser, used offensive language about a Labour MP:
“Sam Matthews 10:39: Fuck ’em. Someone’s got to stand up to these progressive alliance wankers.
“Teddy Ryan 10:40: tell me about it…Clive Lewis is the biggest cunt out of the lot. “Sam Matthews 10:40: it’s like outlook-whack-a-mole, yes. Yes he is.”[2]
Matthews was also an integral part of the coordinated AS-smears and quasi-DDoS attacks since he let a clearly anti-Semitic Labour member stay in Labour for an absurdly long time and so as to make Labour itself look anti-Semitic:
Suspending Matthews?
Matthews was sent evidence, a year before he left his post, of a Labour council candidate posting “anti-semitic” material and issued a “notice of investigation” but did not suspend the member. Matthews received more evidence months later indicating that the same member had posted an article on Facebook claiming that the Holocaust was a hoax. Matthews once again decided against a suspension.
It was only on 22 March 2018, just days after Jennie Formby was elected as General Secretary, that Sam Matthews and his unit agreed to the member’s suspension. He finally acted after concerns were raised by Laura Murray, a Corbyn aide, who wrote exasperatedly:
“Should he not be suspended pending investigation?”[6]
Someone using the term of “war criminal”, on the other hand, nope, that’s clearly anti-Semitic in the bullshit judgment of Matthews and an offense worthy of being suspended and expelled from Labour:
Matthews also used the same infamous lawyer that traitor Emilie Oldknow (see part 3) is considering to use now in order to smear and threaten his or their victims into submission:
Matthews sues for defamation
On 13 July 2019, The Observer reported that Sam Matthews had instructed the prominent media lawyer Mark Lewis to act on his behalf because he believed the party had defamed him in its response to his claims.[7]
[…]
Sam Matthews, who claimed he was left feeling suicidal because of the pressures placed on him, said:
“The Labour Party is choosing to ignore the central charges of antisemitism raised by myself and other whistleblowers on Panorama, and instead, they have engaged in a concerted campaign to damage my name.
As for what (kind of) lawyer — one that was fined himself for lack of morals and proper behavior. Birds of a feather, all of them:
So much for the article on the two key saboteurs and traitors Iain McNicol and Sam Matthews and on their grave abuses of power.
