Ziofascist Israel’s 2023 to 2024 Genocide of Palestinians, Part 21: May 24 to June 1 — Tent Massacres in Defiance of the ICC and ICJ Rulings
A documentation of Ziofascist Israel’s 2023 to 2024 genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity against Palestinians from May 24 to June 1, 2024 right after the May 20 ICC and May 24 ICJ rulings against Israel.

Even more absurdly, an IOF hasbara propagandist lied that they did the massacre due to Hamas supposedly having “two rocket launchers aimed” at humanitarian aid which the Ziofascist Israelis just loooooove to bring in:
LTC Nadav Shoshani: “What’s happening in Rafah? […] Last night, the IDF thwarted two rocket launchers aimed at Kerem Shalom ‘humanitarian’ crossing. Throughout the day, we facilate [i.e. block] the entry of over 100 humanitarian aid trucks into southern Gaza through that same crossing. This is just a part of hundreds of aid trucks going into Gaza through additional crossings[??] today.
What was Hamas doing at the same time? Hamas launched a barrage of rockets towards central Israel. Millions of civilians in Tel Aviv, Herzliya and other cities had to run to shelter as Hamas fired rockets [awww, poor genocidal settler-colonialists].
It has been almost eight months of war [i.e. Ziofascist Israeli genocide], and each side still has the same intentions. Hamas still holds 125 hostages [Israel holds millions in the Gaza concentration camp, by the way]. Hamas [i.e. Ziofascist Israel] still targets as many civilians as possible, with no care for the people in Gaza. We are still doing everything possible to facilitate the entry of aid [i.e. death] into Gaza for the people in Gaza. The IDF is fighting Hamas, not the people of Gaza [i.e. the IOF is genociding the people of Gaza].”
There were two other such Israeli strikes in the days before:
On the May 26 strike and from FA’s article:
[B]efore 6 May, Israel’s military had published a different map of the ‘humanitarian zone’ around al-Mawasi that stretched further south and included the part of Tel al-Sultan where the tent camp was located. That map was published in infographics as part of a 6 December press release from Israel’s military, which accused Hamas of firing rockets ‘from al-Mawasi humanitarian zone’.
[…]
And importantly, the southern portion of the zone as it was defined in December was, without explanation, excluded on 6 May. That change, unacknowledged by the Israeli military, and largely unknown to the Palestinian population, meant that thousands of people sheltering in the Tel al-Sultan tent camp were no longer safe from attack, as they had been promised by Israel months earlier.
Satellite imagery shows an expansion of tents in areas within the newly excluded portion of the humanitarian area between 6 May and 26 May, underlining that the news of the boundary changes had not reached many Palestinian civilians fleeing west from Rafah ahead of the expected Israeli ground invasion.
What’s more, in the months before 6 May, Israel’s military repeatedly defined Tel al-Sultan as a ‘humanitarian zone’. When Abu Mohamed Abu Al-Sabaa, a 67-year-old survivor of the Israeli attack on the camp, spoke to the Palestinian journalist Mohamed El Saife the day after the strike, he was holding the Israeli leaflet that led him to seek safety there. The leaflet explicitly directed civilians to evacuate their homes in other parts of Gaza and go to ‘the humanitarian zone in Tel al-Sultan’ for their ‘safety’.

‘The most moral army in the world’:
Obamaesque and Starmeresque ‘change’ from IOF commander Yair Golan:
On 18 October 2007, the IDF Spokesperson announced that the Chief of Staff had recently initiated a disciplinary proceeding against Brig.-Gen. Yair Golan. The proceeding followed a Military Police investigation into a number of cases in which Golan had used the “prior warning” procedure, in violation of an order that the Chief of Staff had issued, and without informing him. The procedure, which allowed soldiers to “be assisted by a local Palestinian resident’ in giving prior warning to occupants of the house” was ruled illegal by the High Court of Justice in 2005.
International humanitarian law requires combat forces to make every effort to protect civilians not participating in the hostilities and to remove them from danger. Any use of civilians as human shields, including having them assist in carrying out military tasks, is absolutely forbidden. On this basis, the High Court of Justice nullified the army’s procedure in which soldiers used Palestinians to transmit messages to persons who had barricaded themselves in a certain place and refused to surrender. The High Court also disallowed using Palestinians who “willingly” wish to assist (“the prior-warning procedure”).
B’Tselem welcomes the decision of the Judge Advocate General to order a criminal investigation following reports, some by B’Tselem, of the use of Palestinian civilians as human shields, as well as his decision to focus the investigation on senior officers in the chain of command. With the severity of the cases and the direct involvement of the persons under investigation, the decision to open an investigation should be automatic, but such is not the case in the Occupied Territories .
The Judge Advocate General’s decision not to prosecute Brig.-Gen. Golan, despite the investigative findings that Golan knowingly violated army orders and the High Court’s ruling, and to suffice with the mild disciplinary punishment (command notation), transmits a dangerous message of disregard for Palestinian lives and for Supreme Court decisions.

Genocide-abetting denial of evidence by Antony Blinken and Matthew Miller:
In early May, seven months into Israel’s devastating war on Gaza, United States President Joe Biden drew a rare red line for the top US ally.
The US president told CNN that Washington would not provide bombs and artillery shells for the Israeli army to invade Rafah in southern Gaza.
But the images of charred bodies that emerged from an Israeli attack in Rafah on Sunday have raised questions about the credibility of Biden’s “red line”. An estimated 45 people were killed in the attack, which struck a cluster of tents sheltering displaced Palestinians.
“It is deeply disappointing to see President Biden continue to allow Israel to operate with impunity,” said Ahmad Abuznaid, director of the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR).
“To issue a red line that you knew you weren’t going to follow through on not only means he will continue to be Genocide Joe, but it also just shows he’s weak politically.”
In recent weeks, Washington justified its failure to hold Israel to account by arguing that the offensive in Rafah was a “limited” operation, not the all-out assault that Biden had cautioned against.
US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller reiterated that position on Tuesday, despite Sunday’s bloodshed and Israeli tanks pushing deeper into Rafah.
“We do not want to see major military operations take place there, the way that we saw them take place in Khan Younis and in Gaza City. At this point, we have not seen a military operation on the scale of those previous operations,” Miller said.
He added that the US could not “verify” that Israeli military vehicles are in central Rafah, which has been confirmed by Palestinian witnesses and Israeli media outlets.

Pearce was one of many festival stars to have his portrait taken and published by Vanity Fair France, but the photo online did not include the Palestinian flag pin the actor wore throughout the festival.
As reported by CNN: “A small Palestinian flag pin, which Pearce had been wearing on his lapel throughout Cannes, was missing from the photograph [on the publication’s website], though a different photo, featuring the pin, was posted to the magazine’s Instagram the same day the article published. A white, red, black and green bracelet — the colors of the Palestinian flag — was still visible on his wrist.”

[…] This does look like the prelude of a major military operation, we have not seen that operation commence.”
Note their lies by “moving the goalpost”: First the US says only a “limited” but not a “major” Israeli military operation will be permitted. After Israel, which knows it has the backing of the USA for its genocide, conducts a major military operation in Rafah — including with tanks — , the US moves the goalpost from no to a “major” to no to a “full-scale military operation.”

Israeli ‘democracy’/demonocracy/fascism:
On 29 May, a bill aimed at designating the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) as a terrorist organisation passed a preliminary reading in Israel’s parliament, known as the Knesset, prior to three further readings. A second bill that would lead to the severing of all ties with the UN agency and stripping it of various immunities was also proposed, and passed a preliminary reading. These two bills would not only forbid UNRWA from operating in Israel entirely but would also criminalise the organisation, its activities, and its staff.
Christopher Lockyear, Secretary General of MSF International, responds to this news with the following quote:
“The Israeli Knesset’s preliminary bill to designate UNRWA as a terrorist organisation is an outrageous attack on humanitarian assistance, and an act of collective punishment against the Palestinian people. We strongly condemn the proposed designation, and stand in solidarity with UNRWA, which serves as a lifeline, providing essential relief to millions of Palestinians and acting as the backbone of aid delivery to the people in Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and the region.
“By branding the UN agency created to aid Palestinian refugees as a terrorist entity, Israeli authorities would be perpetuating a narrative that vilifies and marginalises an entire population and those who provide them with assistance.
“This follows months of intimidation against UNRWA, including an attack on its offices in Jerusalem. It is the culmination of the continuous, systematic obstruction of vital humanitarian aid, including into the Strip, effectively choking Gaza.

Resignations of US officials Alexander Smith (USAID) and Stacy Gilbert (Department of State):
Two more US officials have resigned over the Gaza war, saying that the Biden administration is not telling the truth about Israeli obstruction of humanitarian assistance to more than two million Palestinians trapped and starving in the tiny coastal strip.
Alexander Smith, a contractor for the US Agency for International Development (USAID), said he was given a choice between resignation and dismissal after preparing a presentation on maternal and child mortality among Palestinians, which was cancelled at the last minute by USAID leadership last week.
Smith, a senior adviser on gender, maternal health, child health, and nutrition chose to resign on Monday after four years at USAID. In his resignation letter to the head of the agency, Samantha Power, he complained about the inconsistencies in USAID’s approach to different countries and humanitarian crises, and the general treatment of Palestinians.
“I cannot do my job in an environment in which specific people cannot be acknowledged as fully human, or where gender and human rights principles apply to some, but not to others, depending on their race,” he wrote.
In another resignation on Tuesday, a state department official from the bureau of population, refugees and migration, Stacy Gilbert, sent an email to colleagues explaining that she was leaving because of an official finding by the department that Israel was not deliberately obstructing the flow of food or other aid into Gaza.
According to the Washington Post, Gilbert took issue in particular with a formal state department report to Congress on 10 May, noting that Israel “did not fully cooperate” in the first months of the Gaza war but that it had “significantly increased humanitarian access” more recently. In fact, after a spike in humanitarian deliveries in late April and early May, they have fallen to near zero in the weeks since.
Asked about Gilbert’s resignation, a state department spokesperson said that “we have made clear we welcome diverse points of view and believe it makes us stronger”.
Smith and Gilbert bring the total number of Biden administration officials to have publicly resigned over US policy on Gaza to nine, though Josh Paul, the first official to resign, said that at least two dozen more had left quietly, without a public declaration.
“I’m aware that there are other resignations pending in the near future from officials with similar concerns in their own areas of work,” said Paul, now a senior adviser at Dawn, a group advocating democracy and human rights in the Middle East and north Africa.

The doctoring of US reports to cover up Ziofascist Israeli atrocities:
The state department falsified a report earlier this month to absolve Israel of responsibility for blocking humanitarian aid flows into Gaza, overruling the advice of its own experts, according to a former senior US official who resigned this week.
Stacy Gilbert left her post as senior civil military adviser in the state department’s bureau of population, refugees and migration, on Tuesday. She had been one of the department’s subject matter experts who drafted the report mandated under national security memorandum 20 (NSM-20) and published on 10 May.
The NSM-20 report found that it was “reasonable to assess” that Israel had used US weapons in a way that was “inconsistent” with international humanitarian law, but that there was not enough concrete evidence to link specific US-supplied weapons to violations.
Even more controversially, the report said the state department did not “currently assess that the Israeli government is prohibiting or otherwise restricting the transport or delivery of US humanitarian assistance” in Gaza.
It was a high-stakes judgment because under a clause in the Foreign Assistance Act, the US would be obliged to cut arms sales and security assistance to any country found to have blocked delivery of US aid.
Gilbert, a 20-year veteran of the state department who has worked in several war zones, said that report’s conclusion went against the overwhelming view of state department experts who were consulted on the report.
She said there was general agreement that while other factors impeded the flow of aid into Gaza at a time when famine has begun to take hold of its 2.3 million population — such as lack of security, caused by Hamas, Israeli military operations and the desperation of Palestinians to find food — it was clear that Israel was playing a role in limiting the amount of food and medical supplies crossing the border into Gaza.
“There is consensus among the humanitarian community on that. It is absolutely the opinion of the humanitarian subject matter experts in the state department, and not just in my bureau — people who look at this from the intelligence community and from other bureaus. I would be very hard pressed to think of anyone who has said [Israeli obstruction] is not an issue,” Gilbert said. “That’s why I object to that report saying that Israel is not blocking humanitarian assistance. That is patently false.”
The state department did not respond on Thursday to a request for comment on Gilbert’s remarks.
Gilbert was one of the experts consulted in drawing up the NSM-20 report, but she said it was taken out of their hands as it approached completion.
“Sometime at the end of April, the subject matter experts were taken off the report and we were told it would be edited at a higher level. So I did not know what was in the report until it came out,” she said. “But when the report came out, late on the Friday afternoon [on 10 May], I read it and I had to reread it. I had to go back and print out that section and read it, because I could not believe it stated so starkly that we assess that Israel is not blocking humanitarian assistance.
“Two hours after it was released, I sent an email to my front office and the team that is working on this, saying I will resign as a result of this,” Gilbert said. […]
Genocide Joe’s ceasefire (propaganda) initiative:
Meaningless politibabble from the CIA creation Obama in support of Genocide Joe:
More realistic comments:
In its broad outlines, the proposal is very similar to an American-backed proposal that Hamas accepted in early May after Israel had approved it.
But Israel then reneged on the deal and escalated its attack on Rafah, Gaza’s southernmost city and where the majority of the territory’s population of 2.3 million Palestinians had fled after being forcibly displaced from other areas.
If Biden is telling the truth that this is indeed an Israeli proposal, it would appear Tel Aviv is crawling back less than a month later and trying to make it look as if this is its own magnanimous offer, instead of what it really appears to be: a public admission by Israel, communicated to the world by the American president, that it has lost the war militarily.
In what is probably the most important takeaway, Biden stated: “Indefinite war in pursuit of an unidentified notion of total victory … will only bog down Israel in Gaza, drain the economic, military and human and human resources and further Israel’s isolation in the world.”
“That will not bring hostages home,” the US president added. “That will not, not bring an enduring defeat of Hamas, that will not bring Israel lasting security.”
It is certain that the US has been telling Israel this privately. But for the president to come out and say it from the White House podium completely undercuts Israel’s public assertions that military victory is within reach.
But there are real reasons for skepticism. Biden pointedly did not mention that this proposal came from or was approved by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Biden even acknowledged that “there are those in Israel who will not agree with this plan, and will call for the war to continue indefinitely. Some, some are even in the government coalition.”
One of those may even be Netanyahu. Given Israel’s deeply divided leadership, Biden may well be working with Israeli officials other than Netanyahu in an effort to pressure the prime minister into accepting this deal.
Hamas reactions:
Israel reactions:
National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi reportedly told relatives of hostages on Thursday that the current government will not agree to end its war against Hamas in exchange for the release of all the remaining hostages held by the terror group.
The message — made during a heated meeting during which Hanegbi reportedly rebuked and insulted the relatives of several hostages –appeared to be the first time a top Israeli official was quoted making such an admission. It highlighted the crux of the repeated impasse in the hostage negotiations where Hamas has insisted on a permanent ceasefire, while Israel has only been willing to agree to a temporary truce.

Conclusion: Boycott, Divest from and Sanction Ziofascist Israel — and Lock Up the Genociders and Enablers
We fully support the Geneva International Peace and Research Institute‘s call to the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate Ursula von der Leyen for complicity in war crimes and Genocide committed by Israel in the occupied Palestinian Territories and Gaza.
Von der Leyen was once defence minister in Germany and not only utterly incompetent in her job, she was also investigated for corruption and nepotism. And what happens when a politician fails grandiosely in national politics? They get ‘promoted’ into a political realm far, far away, in this case, into the EU Commission. Never elected, her legacy as president of the EU Commission can be described with two words: misanthropic and unprincipled
Always a great advocate for the military industrial complex and basically every industry and lobby that jeopardises our future, but an enemy to human life. Thousands of dead refugees in the Mediterranean Sea and now thousands of civilians in Gaza have made her list of people who don’t deserve protection, a chance, or even a life. She has no scruple to support Israel in cutting off water, food and electricity to Gaza, and welcomes the bombing of those people under the guise of “defence”.
