Israel’s Genocidal, Human Rights Violating and War Criminal Answer to the Palestinian Question, Part 2
Abstract: In Western mainstream media, Israel is regularly portrayed as a victim or as an about equally responsible party in the allegedly ‘complicated’ and ‘both-sidesy’ Israel-Palestine conflict. In this article series and following the May 2021 ‘clashes,’ I would like to show that and why Israel is instead very clearly the main responsible party and perpetrator in this conflict. The article also serves the purposes of documenting Jewish-Israeli-Zionist crimes against Palestinians and of deconstructing the usual pro-Israel propaganda.
Part 2 focuses on Palestinians’ right to self-defense, the largely immoral reactions of Western states, and on some evidence and more so two key deductive arguments for why Israel and Jewish-Israeli-Zionists are committing genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and crimes of aggression against Palestinians.
(Warning: The following article series contains material that might be disturbing for some viewers and that is usually not shown in mainstream media. I sometimes also use an ironic, satirical or cynical tone which is mainly directed against relativising, rationalizing, veiling, looking away from, playing stupid or remaining silent about Jewish-Israeli-Zionist crimes against Palestinians)
(links to: the older, significantly shorter and all-in-one German version; the more recent and in-depth English article series, part 1, part 3, part 4, part 5, part 6, part 7, part 8)
Do Palestinians have the right to defend themselves against the Israeli occupying forces?
Contrary to the statements and personal experiences of revolutionary figures such as Nelson Mandela, Ghassan Kanafani, Malcolm X, Angela Davis and Ernesto “Che” Guevara, the corrupt establishment generally fails to accede Palestinians a right to resist or to defend themselves against the Israeli occupiers and their state terrorism. This amounts to yet another stark asymmetry and propagandistic tale which is used to pretend that terrorism only ever ensues from individuals, groups or organisations and never from far more powerful “evil states” such as Israel or also the USA or Saudi Arabia.
Of course one also has to mention Great Britain here in its role as the former leading world empire which ran the colonial project of Israel as its own colonial project (see the 1917 Balfour Declaration) and which would by all appearances already have agreed to the earlier formation of a Jewish state in Uganda if Jewish Zionists had accepted that offer:
Ned Price, the current propaganda speaker of the US Department of State, recently replied to a journalist’s (Said) question “Do Palestinians have a right to self-defence” that “every state” — i.e. Israel — has that right. So an indirect “no.” Price also failed to give a direct answer to the question of “Do you condemn the [Israeli] killing of children?”—in sum once again a “no”:
Confronted with the questions of a different journalist (Matt), that there are some obvious problems with the purely state-related definition of self-defence and after repeatedly asking and rephrasing the question (“Do you regard Palestine as a state?”, “Are you saying that Palestinians don’t have a right to self-defence?” “So, they do have a right to self-defence?”), the propagandist Price once again only gave evasive answers, such as that he is not in the position to answer “legalities” (see about 3:30–5:20 of the above video). So once again we see absurd, propaganda-dripping double standards which leave little doubt about the deep immorality of it all.
Norman Finkelstein, whose Jewish family was almost completely wiped out by Nazis, refutes this propaganda by asking the rhetorical and comparative question if concentration camp guards have the right to defend themselves:
Austria’s ‘Bundesbasti’ (a derogatory term for this particular Chancellor) is also ignorant and amoral enough to join this tenor of the “Ewiggestrige” (the ‘forever-yesterdays’) by excluding Israeli crimes against Palestinians and their right to defend themselves against them in advance:
The type of people that applaud such a moral insanity include the right-wing extremist son of Benjamin Natanyahu who is friends with the insane right-wing Bolsonaro family:
The British right-wing Zionist Tommy Robinson and other “far right ethno-nationalist” Zionists who commit historic negationism by denying the existence of Palestine would also surely approve of Kurz’s position:
Similar scenes in Germany and the Czech Republic: The Israeli Occupation Forces kill Palestinian civilians, including children, in their homes, and the results are declarations of solidarity with Israel. What a fantastic community of Western ‘values.’
Lena Obermaier from the European Center for Palestine Studies at the University of Exeter wrote a highly relevant critique of the German state’s absurd stance on Israel-Palestine:
The strange thing about Germany is also that it is able to understand “colonial crimes as genocide” — but apparently not when Israelis are doing the fundamentally same thing to Palestinians:
The great Irish MEP Mick Wallace likewise explains what a farce these ‘European values’ are:
Contrary to most European states and like Wallace, Venezuela also shows that it still has a functioning moral compass:
The ‘settler-colonizer and chosen people’-argument for Jewish-Israeli genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and crimes of aggression against Palestinians
The perhaps simplest and clearest perspective on the Israeli-Palestine conflict results from a long-term historical perspective and from comparisons with similar projects with similar outcomes which reveal certain historical constants. Things are often only unclear when you view a picture from up too close or if you do not take enough time. But when you zoom out or adopt a longer time-frame, you will often gain a much clearer perspective or begin to see a clear trajectory of events, similar to the trajectory of planets around the sun, which also points to likely future events.
My according deductive argument goes as follows:
Premise 1: Throughout history, there were and are settler-colonizer projects of people who suffered or suffer from the master race or chosen people syndrome (i.e. a collective delusion), and if ‘successful,’ these settler-colonialists routinely perpetrated or perpetrate genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and crimes of aggression against the native populations (see e.g. the history of the USA, Australia, New Zealand or also Nazi Germany which was looking for “Lebensraum im Osten”).
Premise 2: Israel is a successful settler-colonialist project which suffers from a chosen people syndrome to a considerable extent (likewise from racism).
Conclusion: Therefore, Israel commits genocide — including “incremental genocide” — , crimes against humanity, war crimes and the crime of aggression (see articles 6, 7 and 8 of the ICC document “Elements of Crime”) against the native Palestinian population.
That and the circumstance that the founding of the Israeli state in 1948 went hand in hand with a massive and still ongoing displacement of Palestinians — the so-called “Nakba” (Arabic for “catastrophe”) — is sometimes even openly admitted by extremist Jews and settlers (the following footage is from 2009):
The teachings of the Jewish Zionist terrorist Meir Kahane who proposed genocide against Palestinians are also becoming ever more popular under rightwing extremist Israeli Jews. The following interviews from 2017 show in no uncertain manner that it is already Israeli-Jewish children and youths who support things such as racial purity, “carpet bombings” or the atomic annihilation of all Palestinian civilians (who or what does that remind us of?):
The following statistic about which side starts the killing — 79% by Israel compared to only 8% by Palestinians from September 2000 to October 2008 — is also quite revealing.
Perhaps the most crazy thing is that Zionist Israel even managed to commit genocide against black Jews. Premise 1 are these ICC definitions of genocide:
Premise 2 is the evidence that Israel did prevent births within the group of Ethiopian black Jews:
The conclusion is that, therefore, the Zionist project of Israel even committed genocide against black Jews — something which furthermore underlines how racist and apartheid the Zionist project of Israel actually is.
So in sum, the since 1948 ongoing situation in which Israel continuously or recurringly commits genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and crimes of aggression in the Occupied Palestinian Territories in order to steal that land is clear and obvious. The rest are details.
A young Jewish-Israeli-Zionist extremist from the “Kahane was right”-crowd confirms:
Her concluding sentence: “That’s exactly what we do in the Old City of Jerusalem.”
As shown by newly-declassified documents and as reported by Ha’aretz, that expansion into the Palestinian territories has been the plan all along:
On the Katie Halper show, the Head of the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD) Jeff Halper (no relation) summed it up by saying that
“The whole point of Zionism, the whole point of the last 125 years, has been to judaize Palestine. In other words: To transform an Arab country [rather: region] into a Jewish country.”
Concerning Israel:
“it can’t [rather: wont] get into political negotiations because it wants the entire country [rather: region]. […] Israel’s strategy is to manage the Palestinians — in other words, to keep the conflict […] under the radar. The deal, I think, between Israel and Europe and the West and the international community is that, as long as Israel keeps the lid on, as long as it does not disrupt the region, as long as it does not lead to wars all the time, as long as it keeps things more or less manageable, it’s fine. In other words: Biden or the Europeans or *pause*, nobody wants to expend the political capital they would have to expend in order to really force Israel back. I mean the whole idea of a two-state solution is ridiculous, it’s always been ridiculous. Nobody’s gonna expend that capital, you see, and Israel knows it, and Israel knows there’ll be no sanctions. It can violate human rights and international law with impunity because it knows there is no sanctions.”
The evidence for what Israel is has been all over the place for a long time:
Any attempt to portray the Israel-Palestine conflict, which is fundamentally a Jewish-Israeli-Zionist settler-colonialist caused land conflict, as complicated, can therefore not be taken seriously in the end. Hence satirical comments such as the following:
