Israel’s Genocidal, Human Rights Violating and War Criminal Answer to the Palestinian Question, Part 6
Abstract: In Western mainstream media, Israel is regularly portrayed as a victim or as an about equally responsible party in the allegedly ‘complicated’ and ‘both-sidesy’ Israel-Palestine conflict. In this article series and following the May 2021 ‘clashes,’ I would like to show that and why Israel is instead very clearly the main responsible party and perpetrator in this conflict. The article series also serves the purposes of documenting Jewish-Israeli-Zionist crimes against Palestinians and of deconstructing the usual pro-Israel propaganda.
Part 6 focuses on how official Israel targets and harms journalists and media organisations who are trying to report from the occupied Palestinian territories about Israel’s genocide, crimes against humanity (including apartheid), war crimes and crimes of aggression against Palestinians.
(Warning: The following article series contains material that might be disturbing for some viewers and that is usually not shown in mainstream media. I sometimes also use an ironic, satirical or cynical tone which is mainly directed against relativising, rationalizing, veiling, looking away from, playing stupid or remaining silent about Jewish-Israeli-Zionist crimes against Palestinians)

The repeated arrests of the author and journalist Mohammed El-Kurd and his twin-sister Muna El-Kurd
As shown by the case and treatment of the journalist, leaker and whistleblower Julian Assange, committing genocide, human rights violations and war crimes is easily reconcileable with Western ‘values.’ But truthfully reporting about that, well, that’s a big nono.
By temporarily arresting the recently turned famous Palestinian author and journalist Mohammed El-Kurd who was astonishingly allowed to report on Jewish-Israeli-Zionist crimes on several US mainstream media in May 2021, Israel demonstrated that it also belongs to this fantastic community of Western ‘values.’
Here we see the videos of the arrest and possible attempted displacement which amount to further human rights violations according to “Article 7 (1) (d) Crime against humanity of deportation or forcible transfer of population”:
On May 22, 2021, and roughly only week after the release of Mohammed and Mona, the Israeli occupying forces wanted to remove their entire family from their house in order to ‘inspect’ it. My strong suspicion here is that the Israeli occupiers wanted to place false evidence — presumably one that suggests Hamas- or terrorist connections — in order to smear and discredit the prominent Mohammed El-Kurd and his widely seen reporting about Israeli crimes against Palestinians on US television:
As reported by Nooran Al-Hamdan, graduate research fellow at the Middle East Institute, the situation got worse again for the El-Kurd twins since they were arrested and charged with the ridiculous accusations of “disturbing the public peace” and “nationalism” in an act of the guilty charging its victims:
The well-known Palestinian-American Mariam Barghouti, also the victim of pro-Israeli Twitter censorship, gives an apt description of the overall situation:
Fortunately, both Muna and then Mohammed were released soon after their second arbitrary and wanton arrests which once again constituted crimes against humanity (Article 7 (1) (e) — Crime against humanity of imprisonment or other severe deprivation of physical liberty; Article 7 (1) (h) — Crime against humanity of persecution; Article 7 (1) (j) — Crime against humanity of apartheid):
Another strategy that the criminal apartheid regime of Israeli attempts to employ against the El-Kurds — and probably with very little to no success — is that of social isolation:
The problems for the El-Kurds who live in Sheikh Jarrah, an area that settler-colonialist Israel currently wants to steal for its own ‘chosen people’, have also increased in other ways, because the entire family was harrassed by settlers and IOF soldiers in their home on June 5:
The following footage shows Zionist land thieves discussing how they will steal your property. Once again, extremist settlers and the Israeli occupation forces are totally not colluding:
Fictional dialogue: “Hey soldierboy, if you help me steal this Palestinian property, you will be my bestie and I will totally invite you to grill parties and shit on the stolen property, deal?”
IOF soldier: “Deal.”
Not very surprisingly, Israel’s complicit Attorney General opines that there is nothing wrong with stealing the land and property of Palestinians in the context of settler-colonialist apartheid and genocide:
The directly affected Mohammed El-Kurd comments as follows:
Israel’s similar treatment of other journalists
As further demonstration of how Israel treats journalists, here is another video which shows how the Israeli occupying forces — according to their absurd propaganda the “most moral army in the world” — casually shoot a Palestinian video documenter who poses no noticeable threat:
Israel also arbitrarily arrests other professional journalists to prevent them from and to punish them for doing their jobs:
Arbitrary arrests go hand in hand with arbitrary extensions of detention, presumably in order to prevent the world from seeing what’s really happening in Israel and Palestine:
The generally hostile attitude of the Israeli colonizers and occupiers towards journalists who report their ongoing crimes can also be observed in this video which was shot in or near Sheikh Jarrah:
Israel’s arrests of journalists appear to be part of a wider “systematic revenge campaign” in which the colonized and oppressed Palestinians are punished for daring to resist the Israeli colonizers and oppressors:
All of that is once again sanctioned from the very top, by Benyamin Netanyahu:
The case of Al Jazeera reporter Givara Al-Budeiri
In the beginning of June, Israel is still arresting journalists who report on Israel’s crimes such as Al Jazeera’s Givara Al-Budeiri in Sheikh Jarrah who was covering demonstrations:
The camera of Al Jazeera’s cameraman also appears to have been damaged in the process:
Kenneth Roth, the head of Human Rights Watch, places this arrest in the context of the “Israeli government’s apartheid” system:
After being released hours later since whatever charges were nonsense, Givara Al-Budeiri is now prohibited from entering Sheikh Jarrah for 15 days in what appears as a clear pattern of Israeli attempts to prevent journalists from reporting on Israel’s crimes:
Apparently, Givara Al-Budeiri suffered a fracture in her left hand from the IOF assault:
Givara Al-Budeiri reports of her treatment during her arrest:
And yes, OF COURSE Israel is also still arresting Palestinian kids for daring to resist their morally insane occupation:
Israel’s attacks on media organisation buildings
Since the criminal rogue state of Israel has no interest in its atrocities being reported, it even attacked and destroyed news agencies buildings themselves in mid-May:
Israel even bombed the news agency TRT Arabic while it had the cameras rolling inside the builing:
Ironically, even the builings of the AP and the BBC which regularly produce pro-Israel propaganda (see part 5) were bombed and destroyed by Israel. My assumption in this case is that the main target were the offices of Al Jazeera which were also housed in the now destroyed building:
Austrian journalists who had been working in that building in the past also commented, with one mentioning “state terror” (“Staatsterrorismus”):
Here we have a damage report and rough overview of how Israel treats journalists and media organisations that dare to report about its anti-Palestinian atrocities:
Edward Snowden commented satirically:
Israel’s propagandistic tale, that it only targetted Hamas, is or was rejected by the AP:
Even the USA, another rogue state and Israel’s strongest ally, admitted indirectly and directly that, contrary to Israel’s likely lies, they have no evidence that Hamas was in the destroyed building that housed AP, Al Jazeera, and other media organisations:
